The 2022 Queensland Poetry Awards have been announced and are now open. Entries close midnight 5 June! Want to be a part of #QPF2022? We’re now accepting expressions of interest for volunteers to join our team and bring this year's festival to life.
📣 Celebrate World Poetry Day with us!
We’re excited to announce our World Poetry Day celebrations on March 21 co-presented with Singapore Writers Festival. Singapore Emerging will premiere on Facebook Live at 7pm AEST. These celebrations will kick off our amazing online Queensland Poetry Festival Program, leading up to our live festival ‘Emerge’ from 3-5 June at the Judith Wright Centre in Meanjin (Brisbane).
📣 Queensland Poetry Festival is emerging!
We’re excited to announce the revival of the Queensland Poetry Festival for 2022! Due to the recent wave of COVID cases, we’re moving our live dates for ‘Emerge’ to 3-5 June at the Judith Wright Centre in Brisbane.
We'll also have an amazing online program that will kick off on March 21st (International Poetry Day) and run up to the festival in June.

We’re hiring!
The Artistic Director will lead the artistic direction of the Queensland Poetry Festival (QPF), delivering a high quality, diverse and dynamic festival program. The role is envisaged as an approx. three days per week commitment, with increased hours of work in the lead up and during the Festival.
