It's been a big, wonderful month here at Queensland Poetry! Our Queensland Poetry Award winners were announced, and we launched a special event Not Quite Right For Us with Speaking Volumes Live Literature Productions.

This year's SlammED Winner is Madina Ahmed!
As the daughter of Muslim Afghan refugees, she's always struggled with articulating her experience. However, slam poetry has served as an outlet for her.

SPECIAL EVENT: Not Quite Right For Us
Queensland Poetry x Speaking Volumes Live Literature Productions presents: ‘Not Quite Right for Us’ – a new poetry film featuring dynamic poets from around the world, reading their work from the newly released anthology, 'Not Quite Right for Us': Forty Authors Speak Volumes.
