VOLTA OCTOBER 2021 features Jackie Smith, Raelee Lancaster and Pascalle Burton, and will be held in-person at the Brisbane Square Library.

When not writing poetry, JACKIE SMITH is a freelance journalist, editor and proof-reader and marketing graduate based in Brisbane. Her freelance work has been published through a variety of local and national media outlets. Her debut poetry book, The Nostalgia Collection was published in April 2021.

RAELEE LANCASTER is a Brisbane-based writer, creative producer, and library services professional. Raelee hopes to combine her arts work and library career to promote empathy, listening, and laughter in the GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, and museums) sector. Raised on Awabakal land, Raelee is descended from the Wiradjuri and Biripi peoples.

PASCALLE BURTON is a Meanjin-based experimental poet with an interest in conceptual art and cultural theory. Her collection About the Author is Dead (Cordite Books) was shortlisted for the 2019 Mary Gilmore Award for best first collection of poetry. She also plays in the band The Stress of Leisure.
